Name-Board Pickup-Sign (“the App”) is a poster and name-sign app for iPhone, iPad and Mac, published by Nicolai Olesen (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what happens to information when you use the App.

In short: the App collects nothing. It has no servers, no accounts, no analytics and no advertising, and it makes no network connections of any kind. Everything you create stays on your own device.

1. Information we collect

We do not collect, transmit, sell, rent or share any personal information.

The App contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no crash-reporting services and no third-party tracking code. It does not create an account, ask you to sign in, or contact any server — ours or anyone else’s.

We therefore have no access to your posters, your images, your device identifiers, your location, your contacts, or any other data on your device.

2. Information the App stores on your device

To do its job, the App saves the following locally, inside its own sandboxed storage on your device, where it is not visible to us or to other apps:

• Your saved posters — the names and titles you type, plus colours, fonts, layout and template choices — so your signs are still there next time you open the App.
• Logos and images you add from Photos or from Files, so you can reuse a logo across posters.
• Your logo library edits — logos you have renamed or hidden — so the logo chooser matches your preferences.
• How often each template has been used, so the templates you use most appear first.

This information never leaves your device through the App. It is not uploaded, not backed up to us, and not accessible to us in any form.

Names you type. If you use the App to display someone else’s name — a guest, a passenger, a client — that name is stored only on your device, exactly like any other text you type. You remain responsible for the names and images you choose to enter and display.

3. Permissions the App asks for

• Photos. When you tap “Add from Photos”, iOS shows you its own picker and hands the App only the single image you chose. The App does not read, scan or index your photo library, and it does not need full library access.
• Files. When you add a logo from Files, the App reads only the one file you select, and only for as long as it takes to import it.

The App never writes to your photo library, and it asks for no other permissions — no location, no contacts, no microphone, no camera, no notifications.

4. Tracking

The App does not track you. It does not collect data about you for advertising or measurement, does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA), and does not link any data to your identity or to other apps and websites. It does not present the App Tracking Transparency prompt, because it has nothing to ask for.

5. Third parties

There are none. No data is shared with any third party, because no data leaves your device. The App has no parent, subsidiary, affiliate, service provider, analytics partner or advertising partner with access to any user data.

The only exception is outside our control and outside the App: if you have enabled iCloud Backup or a local device backup, Apple’s backup includes the App’s local files along with the rest of your device. That backup is made by Apple, encrypted by Apple, and governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy, not by this one. We cannot see or access it.

Likewise, if you downloaded the App from the App Store, Apple may collect its own download and usage statistics under its own policy. We receive only anonymous, aggregate sales reports from Apple; these contain no personal information about individual users.

6. Data retention and deletion

Because we hold no data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our side.

You are in full control of the data on your device, and you can remove it at any time:

• Delete a poster — swipe or use the delete action in the gallery. Any images used only by that poster are deleted with it.
• Delete a logo — use the delete action in the logo chooser.
• Delete everything — delete the App from your device. iOS and macOS remove the App’s entire sandbox, including every poster, image and preference listed in Section 2. Nothing survives on our side, because nothing was ever sent to us.

If you also want the data gone from your Apple backups, manage or delete the backup in your device’s iCloud settings.

7. Consent

The App does not collect data, so there is no data-processing consent to give or revoke. The only permissions involved are the system permissions in Section 3. You may revoke those at any time:

• iPhone / iPad: Settings → Name-Board Pickup-Sign → Photos
• Mac: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Name-Board Pickup-Sign

Revoking access does not affect posters or logos you have already created.

8. Children’s privacy

The App is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). It collects no personal information from anyone, children included, and so does not knowingly collect personal information from children. We comply with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and equivalent rules by collecting nothing at all.

9. Your rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and similar laws)

Privacy laws such as the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act give you rights to access, correct, port, delete and restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to it — plus, under the CCPA/CPRA, the right to know what is collected and sold and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

We are not a data controller or a “business” with respect to your use of the App, because we never receive your data. All of the information described in Section 2 sits on your own device, under your own control, and you can inspect or erase it yourself at any time using the steps in Section 6.

We have never sold or shared personal information, and we never will.

If you believe we hold data about you nonetheless, contact us using the details on this page and we will respond within the time frame the applicable law requires. EU and UK users also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

10. Changes to this policy

If the App ever changes in a way that affects your privacy — for example if a future version adds an optional sync or backup feature — we will update this policy and change the “Last updated” date above before that version ships, and any such feature will be opt-in. Material changes will also be noted in the App Store release notes for the version that introduces them.
