Left to Spend: Budget Planner (“the App”) is a manual budgeting app by Nicolai Olesen. It is designed so that we never see your money.
What we collect
Nothing. The app has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We do not run a server for it.
Where your data lives
- On your device. Your income, budget split, purchases, bills, categories and shopping lists are stored on your iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple Watch.
- In your own iCloud. If you are signed in to iCloud, the app syncs that data between your devices through your private iCloud database. Apple stores it under your Apple Account; we cannot access it.
Imports
When you import a photo, PDF, CSV, Excel file or pasted text, it is read entirely on your device — with Apple’s on-device text recognition and, where available, Apple’s on-device language model. Files are not uploaded anywhere, and the app keeps only the purchases you choose to add, not the file.
Permissions
- Camera — only to scan a receipt or statement you choose to import.
- Photos — only the photos you pick to import.
- Notifications — optional, for an occasional reminder to log purchases. You can turn it off in the app’s Settings.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
